What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Pet Paradise?
Pet Paradise in Carrollton, VA is an independent pet supply store with a dog grooming salon. We are looking for a part-time (20-25 hrs/week) and/or a full-time (36-38 hrs/week) retail associate to join our team.
You will be interacting with a wide range of customers and their pets, helping them make product selections for their pets and checking them out at the cash register. You must be passionate about delivering customer satisfaction and enjoy working in a friendly, fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively and multi-task, have excellent customer service skills, basic computer knowledge and an attention to detail. Ideally, you will have experience in retail or cash handling positions. You should be a quick learner with the ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team. Our team members are key holders.
Ultimately, the goal is to help our customers find the perfect items for their pets' needs and deliver it quickly and with a smile!
This position will require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, interact with dogs of all sizes and demeanors, be at least 18 years of age, be reliable, dependable and able to learn about products offered in the store and relay that information to customers. Product training will be provided.
Require past or current experience with pets - preferably dogs and/or cats.
Job Duties will include but are not limited to:
Restocking and fronting shelves, receiving in orders from delivery trucks, providing product information to customers, checking out customers, answering the phone, assisting groomers with booking appointments, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning up after pets who have accidents in the store.
