What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Pet Pantry Warehouse?
Pet Pantry Warehouse is seeking new Retail Sales Associates for our Wilton CT Location!
Seasonal or high school applicants will not be considered for this position. Local college students applying must be willing to continue employment after school sessions begin, even if part time only. High School students will not be considered due to their limited schedule availability on weekdays. Seasonal positions do not exist, as our training process is extensive and will not be completed before seasonal periods end.
You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. Outgoing and energetic personalities who enjoy working with people and pets, and understand the environment of retail sales are a must!
Opportunity exists for full time and upward promotion within the company. Animal lovers are welcome and preferred!
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
- Cashier Duties
- Restocking product/assisting in delivery receiving
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
- Store Maintenance
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License. We also recommend that job seekers have access to their own method of transportation to fill shifts in multiple locations if necessary.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 60#
- Flexible schedule-ability to fill morning and evening shifts weekdays and weekends
- Open availability on Wednesday, Friday and both weekend days are required! Please do not apply if you have scheduling restrictions on these days.
