Responsibilities
- Assist with animal handling, restraint to ensure safe and stress-free interactions
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and treatment areas following aseptic techniques to prevent infection
- Help with animal intake and discharge processes, including record-keeping and documentation of treatments
- Aid in pet care activities like feeding, bathing, and administering medications as directed
- Contribute to animal husbandry tasks including cleaning enclosures, monitoring health status, and observing behavioral changes
- Handle animals during training sessions or pet grooming appointments to promote positive experience
Experience
- Previous kennel experience or hands-on animal handling is highly preferred
- Experience in dog training or pet grooming enhances your ability to handle diverse animals confidently
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is beneficial
- Strong understanding of pet care principles and animal husbandry practices is essential
- Certification or experience in veterinary terminology or laboratory work is desirable
