What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Lab Tech-3rd Shift position at PET Dairy?
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Schedule routine and new product, cost reduction, tech service pilot plant trials
. Inventory and gather ingredients and supplies
. Fully own batch routine/complex fluid, cultured, and frozen formulations
. Fully own pilot plant and lab activities including assembly and operation
. Record data and report observations
. Assist project leaders with data interpretation
. Collaborate on next steps with project leaders
. Document standard operating procedures (SOP's) and teach to others
. Independently conduct routine production trials
. Assist project leaders with complex production trials
. Independently conduct routine lab tests

Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
. High school diploma or equivalent
. 2 to 4 years of experience in a food or dairy industry (Vocational or collegiate training considered commensurate for experience)
. Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
. Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pilot plant, production, and lab procedures
. Aptitude for equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation
. Working knowledge of mathematics for formula calculations
. Able to generate ideas, test their effectiveness, and assist plan of action
. Able to demonstrate professional oral and written communication
. Must be able to read, write and speak English
