Daily Responsibilities
As a General Practice Veterinarian, your daily work will focus on providing thorough, high-quality, and preventive care to small animals:
- Wellness & Preventative Medicine: Conduct routine physical exams, administer vaccinations, prescribe parasite preventatives, and advise clients on diet, weight management, and lifelong wellness.
- Medical Diagnostics & Workups: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions using in-house laboratory equipment, digital X-rays, and diagnostic tools.
- Outpatient Surgery & Dentistry: Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals) and dental procedures (prophylaxis, digital dental radiography, and extractions).
- Client Education & Communication: Build trusting relationships with pet owners by explaining diagnostic results clearly, offering empathetic guidance, and tailoring treatment plans to fit each family's needs.
- Urgent & Same-Day Triage: Assess and stabilize urgent walk-in cases or minor traumas that present during general practice hours.
- Medical Record Keeping: Maintain prompt, comprehensive electronic medical records and treatment plans.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited university.
- Active state veterinary license (or eligibility for state licensure) in good standing.
- DEA licensure and USDA accreditation (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for working alongside a dedicated support staff of technicians.
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
