About the Position

This is primarily a cleaning and sanitation position. The main responsibility of this job is to keep our kennels and facility clean, sanitary, safe, and presentable throughout the day.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented person who takes pride in doing thorough cleaning work. This position involves frequent cleaning of pet waste, kennels, floors, play areas, and other facility surfaces.

This is an active, hands-on job. You should be comfortable being on your feet for most of your shift, working around dogs, handling pet-related messes, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dog kennels throughout the day, including removing waste, washing surfaces, and maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Clean and sanitize floors, play areas, doors, walls, drains, and other facility surfaces.
• Remove and properly dispose of animal waste from indoor and outdoor areas.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility during the entire shift, not just at the beginning or end of the day.
• Follow Pet BnD cleaning, sanitation, safety, and chemical-use procedures.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies properly and safely.
• Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Keep cleaning equipment and work areas organized and in good condition.
• Perform basic facility upkeep and other cleaning-related duties as reasonably assigned by management.
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and required sanitation standards.
• Report maintenance, safety, sanitation, or animal-related concerns to management.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and repetitive cleaning activities.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain physically active for extended periods.
• Ability to work around water, cleaning products, animal waste, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to safely perform the essential cleaning duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where required by law.

Compensation

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week, based on operational needs.

Schedules may vary. Availability may be required during:

• Weekdays
• Weekends
• Holidays
• Peak operational periods

Because Pet BnD provides care for animals around the clock, certain cleaning and sanitation duties may be required outside normal public business hours.

Important to Know

This position is not primarily an animal-care or dog-handling position. While you will work around animals and may occasionally assist with basic facility or animal-related tasks, cleaning and sanitation are the primary duties of this job.
