Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 per year Performance Bonuses based on specific kpi's being met.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Operations to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing pest and wildlife management business.

This executive-level role is responsible for managing a staff of approximately 10 team members, including our scheduling, HR, and accounting teams (accounts receivable/payable). The Vice President will ensure smooth operations, drive profitability, lead sales growth, and support company-wide strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in service operations management, sales development, and financial oversight, preferably within the pest control or home services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily business operations, workflow, and customer service efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor office, administrative, and accounting staff.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality.
  • Partner with field operations leadership to align scheduling, routing, and customer satisfaction goals.

Sales & Growth Management

  • Direct and support the sales team in achieving monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Lead strategic growth efforts across residential, commercial, and government contract sectors.
  • Oversee proposal writing, contract negotiations, and bid submissions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for new revenue streams.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage company budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing activities.
  • Evaluate vendor relationships and purchasing decisions to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Track and report on KPIs, including sales, expenses, and profit margins.

Human Resources & Compliance

  • Supervise HR functions including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with New York State DEC licensing, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in business operations or executive management.
  • Experience in pest control, wildlife management, or a service-based industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership and revenue growth.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with industry software (e.g., PestRoutes, ServiceTitan, or similar CRM/scheduling tools).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 annually (based on experience)
