Job Summary
A Termite and Crawlspace Technician inspects, treats, and maintains residential and commercial properties for the prevention and control of termite infestations and crawlspace-related issues. This role involves performing termite treatments, moisture control services, crawlspace encapsulations, and more while ensuring high-quality customer service and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of crawlspaces, foundations, and structures for termites, moisture problems, wood decay, and other pest-related issues.
- Apply termiticides using approved products and methods according to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform crawlspace encapsulation services, including vapor barrier installation and sealing.
- Install moisture control systems such as dehumidifiers, drainage systems, and sump pumps.
- Document inspection findings, treatment plans, and completed work.
- Communicate inspection results, recommendations, and service details to customers.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and state pesticide regulations.
- Complete required paperwork and electronic service reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in pest control, construction, carpentry, crawlspace work, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in confined spaces, including crawlspaces.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of termite biology and pest management practices.
- Experience with crawlspace encapsulation and moisture control systems.
