Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Specialist to join our team. This role is a seasonal position with the a performance evaluation to be full time. This role involves inspecting, identifying, and managing pest issues across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pest control, landscaping, or agriculture, along with excellent customer service skills. The Pest Control Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining safe and pest-free environments for our clients while promoting sustainable practices.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest activity and entry points
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using industry-standard methods and equipment
- Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and maintenance practices
- Maintain detailed records of treatments performed and pests encountered
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery as needed for treatment applications
- Assist with lawn care, landscaping, or agricultural tasks related to pest management when required
- Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all safety regulations
- Ensure all work complies with environmental and safety standards, including proper handling of chemicals
Skills
- Proven experience in pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of pest identification and control techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent sales skills to educate clients about services and promote additional treatments or maintenance plans
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe transportation between sites
- Good physical stamina to perform inspections and treatments in various outdoor environments
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols
