Role Description
We are looking for a full or part-time clinical psychologist in our Midland and/or Mt. Pleasant offices to do psychological testing and therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Psychologist must be familiar with current measures that assess IQ, learning, and behavioral and emotional functioning, including, but not limited to, the WAIS-V, WISC-V, WIAT-IV, BASC-3, Conners- 3, and MMPI-3. Psychologist must also be able to treat a wide range of disorders, including depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, and other problems common in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.
Position is full or part-time. Psychologist has the opportunity to be networked with BCBS, Aetna, Medicare, Cofinity, and Priority Health. Most other insurances are billed as an out-of-network provider. Psychologist will receive a percentage of the fee for each billable hour. Psychologist must be independent and reliable, and capable of completing his/her own paperwork in a timely fashion. As we are a small clinic, ability to interact well with office staff and other clinicians is a must. Psychologist must also be willing to provide services in the office, although some opportunity for telehealth is available.
This is a contractual position. Psychologist is paid a percentage of the fee for each billable hour. Psychologist pays his/her own taxes and provides his/her own liability insurance. As part of the rate paid to the clinic, psychologist is provided reception staff, office space (fully furnished and equipped with basic office supplies), monthly supervision, referrals, and billing services.
Responsibilities and Duties
**Completing psychological and learning assessments.
**Providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
**Completing all necessary paperwork, including psychological reports, progress notes, treatment plans, discharges, and professional letters (e.g., coordinating care with primary care providers) in a timely manner.
**Ability to reliably diagnose and select appropriate recommendations and treatments, build rapport with clients, and conduct self in a professional and ethical manner.
**Build and maintain a case-load through acceptance of new clients.
Qualifications
**Master’s degree, PhD, or PsyD
**Licensed in the State of Michigan (TLLP, LLP or LP).
**At least one year of experience preferred. We are willing to supervise a TLLP who is working towards full licensure.
Skills
**Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff, colleagues, and clients.
**Ability to assess and treat, using ethical and efficacious assessment and treatment techniques, common DSM-5-TR disorders.
**Computer skills: Able to use the EHR software.
**Organizational and communication skills, to accurately complete paperwork in a timely manner and communicate with office staff and other professionals to provide clients with the best possible care.
