ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operates or assists with automatic machines used for cutting, curling, crimping, capping, labeling, or tubing paper products such as spools and tubes.
- Uses pedals, switches, and valves to start and stop machines and auxiliary devices such as glue heaters, curling heads, and air ejectors.
- Loads tubes, caps, labels, covers, spool shields, or paper strips into dispensers, conveyors, or mandrels.
- Adds glue to pots, clears jams, and ensures equipment runs smoothly.
- Assists with stacking, packaging, and moving finished products as needed.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows all safety procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately.
- Able to calculate basic measurements, volumes, and percentages.
- Demonstrates good problem-solving and common-sense decision-making skills.
- Ability to stand 8-10 hour and lift up to 30 lbs throughout the day.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and be flexible with shift/hours.
