About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented, driven Chef de Cuisine to join one of New York City’s most celebrated dining destinations.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role at a Top 100 New York Times–recognized restaurant and a James Beard Award–nominated concept, located in the heart of Chelsea. The restaurant is a true hotspot—consistently busy, critically acclaimed, and known for its vibrant take on modern Middle Eastern cuisine.

You will work directly under a high-profile, celebrity chef, gaining exposure to a dynamic, high-performing culinary environment while playing a key role in leading the kitchen.

The Role

As Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee the day-to-day BOH operations, ensuring excellence in execution, consistency, and team leadership within a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

This role is ideal for a strong operator who thrives under pressure, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience through food.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all daily kitchen operations
• Ensure consistency, quality, and execution across all services
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing BOH team
• Uphold and maintain the standards of a critically acclaimed kitchen
• Collaborate closely with the Executive/Celebrity Chef on menu execution
• Oversee ordering, inventory, and cost controls
• Maintain strong systems, organization, and cleanliness
• Foster a positive, professional, and accountable kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CDC or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, high-level restaurant
• Strong background in Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine preferred
• Exceptional leadership and team development skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and operationally strong
• Calm, composed, and solutions-driven under pressure
• Passion for hospitality, food, and continuous growth

Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule: ~55 hours per week
• Service: Dinner only
• Days Off: Two consecutive days guaranteed
• Salary: $105,000 – $115,000 (based on experience)
• Benefits: Competitive
