This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in various care settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Key duties include
- assessing patients accurately based on their medical condition
- administering prescribed medications
- delivering age-appropriate care and supporting self-care activities
- developing and evaluating patient and family education plans
- assisting with procedures and performing technical services
- addressing psychosocial needs and coordinating with social services for discharge planning
- promoting patient safety and practicing cost-effective resource usage
- prioritizing care efficiently and demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in current unit or specialty area, or 4 years in acute care, with recent clinical education hours
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Computer literacy
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire
- Preferred certifications include ACLS and PALS
