Job Description:
A Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities. They work with patients to develop treatment plans that help them regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function. The physical therapist will also educate patients on exercises and techniques they can use to continue their recovery at home.
We are looking for a committed Physical Therapist to act as the patient’s partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation. We have an opening for Part Time and PRN in Durham, NC; potential to develop into Full Time position

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical abilities and develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
- Use various techniques to help patients regain mobility and reduce pain
- Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients’ motion and mobility
- Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery
- Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs
- Teach patients exercises and techniques to continue their recovery at home
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
- Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Master's degree in physical therapy
- State licensure as a physical therapist
- Experience working with patients with physical impairments or disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current knowledge of treatment practices
- Drive to continually learn and grow
- Professional behavior
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
