IDD Direct Support Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking dependable, patient, and emotionally mature individuals to provide one-on-one community-based support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through ODP waiver services.

This is not a fast-paced or high-stimulation role. Most shifts involve working independently with the same individual, supporting daily routines, skill-building, and community participation. Success in this position comes from consistency, calmness, and relationship-building over time.

What You'll Actually Be Doing:

• Providing 1:1 support in the community and home settings.
• Assisting with daily routines, appointments, and community outings.
• Supporting independence, communication, and life skills.
• Following individualized support plans and agency policies.
• Maintaining clear documentation and communication with supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Strong communication and judgment skills

Experience is helpful but not required. We value attitude, reliability, and temperament over resumes fill with short-term roles.
