HOME CARE SUPERVISOR SUMMARY
JOB SUMMARY
- A Home Care Supervisor oversees services provided to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability and/or other inflictions. Home care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship and respite,
- A Home Care Supervisor ensures that employees deliver services in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.
Responsibilities/Activities
- Ensure Agency policies and procedures and industry standards and regulations are followed.
- Assist with the coordination, evaluation and planning of home care services.
- Assist the Manager with administrative activities and optimal use of resources.
- Develop, implement and evaluate strategic plans, goals and objectives.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling activities.
- Supervise work activities of designated employees.
- Develop and instruct employees in the use of practices, procedures and equipment.
- Provide leadership to employees.
- Conduct in-home assessments.
- Liaise with community resources and other agencies.
- Conduct marketing to grow the local client base.
- Other duties assigned by Management
Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of standards of practice and scope of practice, in accordance with state regulations
- Comprehensive knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client and family care.
- Knowledge of personal care and home management skills.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal care services.
- Knowledge of the English language.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures such as maintaining records and completing forms.

Qualifications/Education
- Current valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA or similar caregiving role
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be 18 years of age or older
