Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Communications & Social Media Specialist to oversee our agency’s internal and external messaging. You will be responsible for translating complex healthcare regulations into clear company policies, procedures, and handbooks, while also managing our social media presence to build brand awareness in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy, Procedure & Handbook Development
Collaborate with clinical directors and administrative leadership to research, draft, and organize company policies, procedures and other company documents as needed.
Write and update comprehensive Employee Handbooks and Patient/Client Handbooks to ensure 100% compliance with healthcare regulations.
Assist in drafting company newsletters, internal memos, and updates to keep our remote and field staff connected.
Format, proofread, and maintain clear, accessible internal documentation.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
Develop and execute an engaging social media strategy across platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn) to promote agency services.
Create original, culturally relevant, and compliant content—including text, images, and videos—highlighting patient testimonials, caregiver spotlights, and health awareness.
Monitor social media channels to respond to inquiries, messages, and reviews while strictly adhering to HIPAA privacy standards.
Analyze platform metrics (reach, engagement) and generate monthly reports to optimize future marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Healthcare Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in technical writing, social media management, corporate communications, or digital marketing (healthcare industry experience is a strong asset).
Skills:
Writing Skills: Exceptional copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to turn complex guidelines into clear, understandable language.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite) and office software (Microsoft Word, Google Workspace).
Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy in healthcare marketing.
