Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
How you’ll contribute
A Laboratory Supervisor who excels in this role supervises daily staff activities for an assigned area or function. Additional responsibilities for this role include:
- Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
- Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work. May set priorities, schedule and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance and/or make pay decisions.
- Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
- Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a minimum of being a associates degree graduate from related field of study/applicable discipline (these qualifications are required). Additional requirements include:
- Active and valid ASCP or AMT lab certification.
