Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or 60 credits from an accredited College or University and Four Years experience working directly with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University and Two years experience working directly with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
Job Duties:
- Creates/promotes a culture centered on building self-directed lives with the people we support.
- Conducts New Hire Orientation/Annual Refresher training for new employees and current employees to make them well-versed with the office policies, and equipment. As well as licensing and Program Policies and Procedures.
- Travels among all agency regions to conduct trainings
- Will be /become certified to conduct the following trainings;
- Medication Administration
- CPR/First Aid
- MANDT
- Living an Abuse Free Life
- Prepares for trainings completed by PDSI
- Coordinates where trainings will be held
- Prepares training materials
- Submits completed training paperwork for the employee’s personnel file. Ensures the paperwork is correct, accurate, and completed in full prior to submission.
- Good interpersonal communications and leadership qualities.
- Knowledgable in technology to facilitate training and able to train virtually as assigned.
- Superior organizational abilities and time management skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and multitasking.

- Attendance and participation in Training Committe.
- - Assist in the implementation of competency-based certification curriculums across multiple levels/disciplines of the organization, as follows:
- DSP-I, DSP-II and DSP-III Certification through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) E-Badge Academy, utilizing the Open Future Learning platform.
- Front Line Supervisor Credentialing through the NADSP E-Badge Academy, utilizing both the NADSP Front Line Supervisor Train-the Trainer Curriculum, and the Relias Learning platform.
- Person Centered/Program Specialist and Behavior Support Specialist Credentialing through the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed NADD Competency-based Dual Diagnosis Specialist Certification Program (NADD-DDS).
- Promote participation in the program during the New Hire Orientation/Annual Refresher process, and offer support and guidance to credentialing participants.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the initiative through anecdotal reports as well and various data sources, including satisfaction surveys, incident reporting, employee turnover, and employee length of service.
