Person County Department of Social Services is recruiting for a Social Worker II for the Adult Services Community Alternatives Program and Representative Payee Services. This position serves as Case Manager for persons receiving services through the Community Alternatives Program (CAP) and the Special Assistance In-Home Program. Special Assistance In-Home Services are to help eligible individuals receiving SSI and others with incomes below the poverty level meet their basic needs. With sufficient income, adequate housing, necessary health and social services, reliable informal support from family and friends, and case management, some individuals may remain safely at home rather than move to an adult care home. SA In Home's goal is to allow individuals to remain in the community and to live as independently as possible.
This position also serves as a Medicaid-At-Risk Case Manager providing services to promote and enhance the client's independence and well-being and as protective payee to provide financial management of the client's resources.

The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.

- Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution;
- bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience;
- bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years directly related experience;
- or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary : $52,592 - $82,173
