Person County Government is seeking reliable and detail-oriented part-time Field/Game Supervisors to support the Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of recreational games and events by overseeing game-day staff and maintaining adherence to established rules and procedures.
Work is performed under close to general supervision and follows established procedures, guidelines, and schedules.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
This is a non-exempt position. Part-time employees cannot work more than 1000 hours per calendar year.

- Must be present at site thirty minutes prior to start of game/practice. Check over facilities and report to officials and Recreation Department personnel any problems. Prepare appropriate equipment. (Bleachers, clock, goals, etc.)
- The game supervisor is responsible for supervising the actions of the gate person, scorekeeper and clock operator.
- Ensure playing facilities are clean and ready to be used. This includes making sure the gym floor is swept before and after each game, bathrooms are clean and furnished before start of nights activities.
- Report the results of the previous nights activities to Recreation Department personnel before 9:00 AM (game scores, maintenance needs, employee/official tardiness, etc.)
- Ensure all doors and equipment are locked after games or practices.
- Ensure playing facilities are left clean. Clean-up includes gym restrooms, parking lot, halls, under bleachers, etc. (For Huck Sansbury Gym - lock outside bathrooms as well)
- Allow only scorekeeper and clock operator at score table at all times. (NO EXTRA PEOPLE)
- Enforce rules of conduct among participants, including spectators, coaches, players and staff. Call law enforcement if necessary. Make sure Code of Conduct forms are filled out by officials when technical fouls are assessed and/or someone is ejected from the game. Also, make sure you fill out an Accident Report form whenever someone is injured at any of the facilities.
- Responsible for working at all parks and recreation locations which may include Huck Sansbury, Longhurst, Olive Hill, Allensville, Sportsplex, Hurdle Mills and Helena.
- Must be able to work night and weekend schedules as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
