Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist Trainer or CPI Trainer to lead training sessions focused on crisis management, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training programs tailored to various professional groups
- Conduct workshops on behavioral management, crisis management, and trauma-informed care strategies
- Provide expert guidance on clinical counseling techniques, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, grief counseling, and group therapy
- Train staff in the use of medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical terminology for accurate record-keeping
- Educate participants on patient assessment, triage procedures, case management, and intake processes in behavioral health settings
- Facilitate simulations and role-playing exercises to reinforce crisis intervention skills
- Evaluate training effectiveness through data collection and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve program delivery
- Stay current with research developments in mental health, applied behavior analysis, autism spectrum disorders, and other relevant fields
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure best practices in acute care, patient care planning, and behavioral health interventions
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and behavioral therapy techniques
- Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols
- Strong background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, addiction issues, grief processing, and mental health counseling
- Knowledge of medical records management, ICD/ICD-10 coding systems, CPT coding, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation standards
- Ability to conduct effective patient assessments and triage in high-pressure environments
- Skilled in data collection for research purposes and program evaluation
- Excellent communication skills for delivering engaging training sessions to diverse audiences
- Experience working within residential care environments is preferred
- Familiarity with case management practices and group therapy facilitation techniques

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24.0 per week
