In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to transport goods, materials, and packages to various destinations. Your expertise in commercial driving, manual handling, and customer service will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck while adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize travel time and fuel efficiency.
• Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations with professionalism, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
• Load and secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and compliance with safety protocols related to heavy lifting and weight handling in the workplace.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, commercial truck driving, or delivery driving roles involving box trucks or vans.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices for manual handling tasks.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks efficiently and safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries.
• Experience with route planning using mobile devices or navigation systems for timely deliveries.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and moving items frequently throughout the workday.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures and the use of mobile devices for communication.
