Position Purpose

Essential Job Functions
- Monitor and enforce pool rules and policies.
- Keep facility clean and organized.
- Know facility’s emergency action plan, and how to engage it.
- Perform life saving duties when needed.
- Answer patrons questions and follow up on requests.
- Assist with the opening and closing the facility as needed.
- Attend all scheduled meetings
- Maintain a good level of physical fitness.
- Responds to medical emergencies; performs first aid and uses proper lifesaving equipment and techniques.
- Provides customer service to patrons to include the handling of customer conflict and complaints.
- Assists with the general maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms.

- Knowledge of the schools pool rules and policies.
- Ability to adapt to emergency situations.
- Ability to swim.

License/ Registration/ Certification
- Currently certified as a lifeguard with a Nationally Recognized association and currently CPR & First Aid certified.
- High School Diploma or GED.
