Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable, customer-oriented individual to join our team part-time. As a Liquor Store Clerk, you will be the face of our store, helping customers find the perfect bottle, managing inventory, and ensuring all sales are conducted legally and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers, provide recommendations (wine, spirits, craft beer), and answer questions about our selection.
Point of Sale: Efficiently process transactions using the POS system and handle cash/card payments accurately.
Compliance: Strictly verify ID for all customers to ensure legal age requirements are met (no exceptions).
Inventory Management: Unload deliveries, stock shelves, and organize the walk-in cooler.
Store Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized shopping environment, including dusting bottles and sweeping floors.
Qualifications & Skills
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old (or the legal age required by state law to sell alcohol).
Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Ability: Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs (cases of beer/liquor) regularly.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
Trustworthiness: High level of integrity and a clean background (relevant for handling age-restricted products and cash).
Experience: Previous retail or beverage industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
