Position Overview:
Perry Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Intervention Specialist to join our elementary team in supporting students with disabilities in grades K-6. The ideal candidate would have experience with developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPS), collaboration with families, monitoring student progress, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. This position is dedicated to helping all students achieve academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success within the least restrictive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide direct specialized instruction to students with disabilities in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings.
•Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
•Support students in developing academic, social, behavioral, and functional skills.
•Utilize progress monitoring tools to assess student growth and adjust instruction accordingly.
•Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive educational practices.
Qualifications:
•Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license for appropriate grade band.
•Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development
