Perry County is accepting applications for a Full Time Telecommunicator in the 911 Center.
Primary duties include:
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls
- Dispatch emergency response personnel
- Perform Pennsylvania Emergency Incident Reporting System reporting and disseminating weather watches and warnings
- Enter, update, and retrieve information using a computer-aided dispatch system
- Utilize the CLEAN and NCIC computer to perform checks
Successful candidate must possess a high school diploma/GED, complete the requirements of the 911 Trainee program, and up to 600 hours of training dependent on previous experience.
Compensation includes a starting salary of $17.27/hour. Perry County employment offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes generous paid time off, a County retirement plan, and health, dental, and vision insurance after a 90-day probation period. The position part of a twelve-hour work schedule.
