What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geri-Psych Therapist (PRN, Days) position at Perry County Memorial Hospital?
Education: Master's degree in counseling or behavioral science from an accredited graduate school.
Licensure/Certification: Must have license as LCSW, LCPC or LPC. Must be current in BLS/CPR. Must meet any applicable state licensure standards.
Experience: Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, and hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
Mental/Physical Effort: Requires close attention to detail and independent decision making. Requires alertness and skill. Makes pertinent decisions in relation to patient care. Requires resourcefulness in emergency situations. Work is normally performed in a sitting or standing position. Moderate walking is required. Requires periods of physical exertion and stamina to work effectively under adverse conditions. Use of good body mechanics is used when lifting and transferring patients.
