What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geri-Psych Staff Nurse (PRN, Days) position at Perry County Memorial Hospital?
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Stat of Indiana. Must be current in BLS/CPR. Certification in gerontological or psychiatric nursing desirable.
Experience: Acute care clinical and/or psychiatric nursing experience required.
Mental/Physical Effort: Requires close attention to detail and independent decision making. Requires alertness and skill. Makes pertinent decisions in relation to patient care. Requires resourcefulness in emergency situations. Work is normally performed in a sitting or standing position. Moderate walking is required. Requires periods of physical exertion and stamina to work effectively under adverse conditions. Use of good body mechanics is used when lifting and transferring patients.
