About the Role
We are seeking a talented, hands-on baker with strong scratch baking experience to serve as our lead baker. This person will be responsible for building and guiding a bakery program that supports high-volume production for our three grocery store locations. The right candidate will not only produce excellent baked goods, but also help create the systems, team, and consistency needed for a successful multi-store bakery operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead scratch baking production for a growing bakery program
- Develop and help build a bakery team
- Create efficient production processes for large-volume output
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all products
- Plan production to supply three grocery store locations
- Assist with recipe development, product standards, and workflow organization
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
- Work collaboratively with store leadership to support bakery growth
- Help establish a scalable program with room for expansion
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a scratch baker
- Strong background in high-volume production
- Leadership experience or the ability to build and train a team
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the bakery program
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
- Experience in grocery, retail bakery, or commercial baking preferred
