Assistant Athletic Coach

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience is preferred
• Must be able to work with the head coach, providing practice and workout schedules along with conditioning methods
• The expectation is that the desired candidate will be a good communicator, reaching out to parents to ensure the success of the program
• Experience playing or coaching at the collegiate level is highly desirable
• Must have good organization and communication skills
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate

Job Summary:

• Assists in providing leadership and support in planning, developing, and implementing an instructional program in the sport as assigned by the Coach
• Assists in providing leadership and support in administering the sports program
• Assists in fostering a climate conducive to learning as assigned by the Coach
• Assists in establishing and implementing an improvement process for the sport as
• assigned by the Coach
• Assists in establishing good public and employee relations for the sport as
• assigned by the Coach
• Maintains professional work habits
• Communicates with parents and the educational community (Professional and
• Interpersonal Relations)
• Implements fundamental sports skills and sports management systems (Coaching
• and Related Areas)
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director / Principal.
