Perpich Arts High School seeks a versatile musician-educator to teach music theory and develop curriculum across vocal, instrumental, and music production, including instruction in recording, MIDI, and platforms like Logic Pro and Ableton Live. The role involves leading seminars on theory, styles, and production, mentoring student-led ensembles, supporting performances and Sound Works concerts, and advising capstone projects, along with responsibilities such as vocal coaching, maintaining records, collaborating with staff, supporting studio needs, and upholding professional standards; the ideal candidate values student creativity, collaboration, and thrives in an arts-focused high school environment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in Music or related field.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Vocal and Classroom Music, Instrumental and Classroom Music or the ability to obtain a Tier 2 license in one of the aforementioned areas.
- Classroom management and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to students, parents, staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience and proficiency in the implementation of current best practices and strategies in instruction and learning.
- Experience working in a high school setting
- Knowledge of relevant learning technology and proficient in its use (i.e. Smart board technology, MS Office Suite, Google applications, spreadsheets).
- Master of Arts in Music or related field.
- Experience working with multiple performing arts in a high school setting (musical theater, opera, dance etc.)
- Departmental leadership skills, experience working in interdisciplinary programs.
- Musical Theater and/or Musical Director experience.
- Innovative thinker, knowledge of current trends of music practices and program design experience.
- Vocal and songwriting experience.
