Perpetua Resources is looking for a hands-on, safety-focused professional to oversee daily field operations at the Stibnite Gold Project. This role is responsible for supervising field employees, ensuring the maintenance of site roads and infrastructure, and supporting both Perpetua Resources’ internal teams and third-party environmental and engineering groups. The position plays a critical role in advancing drilling and construction activities, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a good working relationship and coordinate activities with cross shift and management.
- Coordinate with Site Operations Superintendent and Logistics staff for purchasing, field personnel transportation, and field personnel scheduling.
- Responsible for selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, submitting, and tracking purchase orders for field and camp related supplies and equipment.
- Track and submit employee work hours and submit time sheets for processing.
- Assist with budget preparation and tracking.
- Supervise field operations staff daily activities ensuring safe work practices, environmental compliance, and cost control.
- Responsible for maintenance of site infrastructure, equipment, and vehicles
- Provide oversight to maintenance and mechanical departments ensuring steady and efficient workflow.
- Track and monitor site fuel usage. Coordinate with fuel orders and deliveries.
- Assist environmental staff with baseline studies and SWPPP BMP inspections/maintenance.
- Promote a safe work environment for all employees and contractors. Assist Site Safety and Health staff to perform safety inspections and promote safe work practices.
- Preparation of monthly and annual reports to Site Operations Superintendent
- Participates in and conducts Tailgate/Safety Meetings with site staff and contractors
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Drilling Operations
- Supervise, monitor, and assign work for Equipment Operators and Drill Support personnel.
- Ensure drill sites are prepared correctly in accordance with company protocols and agency agreements.
- Assist in helicopter supported drill operations
- Work with drilling contractor to order and maintain proper inventory of drilling product
- Manages drill supply/materials inventory
- Receive daily drill operations reports and monitor progress
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule & Logistics
The Field Operations Supervisor will be based at Perpetua Resources Stibnite Gold Project in Idaho located approximately 3 1/2 hours from Donnelly. The initial work schedule will be fourteen days on and twelve days off, however this is subject to change and will vary depending on the number of days in the month to ensure employees work the correct number of required days each month. The employee will provide his/her own transportation to Perpetua’s Donnelly Office; transportation from the Donnelly office to project site will be provided by the company. Regularly scheduled work hours will be approximately 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Lodging and meals or per diem will be provided while working at the project site.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with good communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to live and work in a remote camp, supervise employees and treat others with respect, dignity, and professional courtesy.
- Maintain a relationship with employees, vendors and local area residents that represents Perpetua resources in a positive light.
- Possesses an understanding of drilling methods including diamond core drilling and reverse circulation.
- Must be willing to lead by example and take a hands-on approach to leadership.
- Ability to mentor, listen, support and guide employees to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA and other regulatory health and safety standards. An OSHA 10 Construction certificate will be required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, timely and consistently, both orally and in writing
- Ability to perform scheduling and budgeting tasks.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, forklift, front end loader and snowplow truck
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Three years related experience working in the field in a supervisor capacity.
- Proficiency in MS Office computer software applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Valid Idaho driver’s license, a clean driving record and acceptance by corporate insurance to operate company vehicles
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Sufficient personal mobility, flexibility and balance with or without reasonable accommodation, allowing the employee to sit and work at a keyboard and/or to maneuver in uneven terrain

- Related job tasks will require hiking, hiking with snow shoes, walking, standing, sitting, lifting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching and long hours on foot and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds
- Will be exposed to earth moving equipment, mechanical parts and helicopters
- Must be comfortable working in remote areas. Will be exposed to severe weather conditions (hot and cold) in steep mountainous terrain and high elevations requiring agility and physical fitness
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear (safety-toed boots), hi-viz safety vest, protective clothing, gloves, etc.
