What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Permobil?
Key Tasks
ENSURES QUALITY PRODUCT IS ASSEMBLED BY :
Assembling the airflow(IFC) control valve components; inserting the IFC to the Quad Select; applyingthe front and back housing with rivets and assemble the IFC, O-ring, and knobs;
checking spindle length. Install valves, grommets, clean cushions, snaps, andinflate cushions.
Satisfiestraining and development needs BY :
- Assists in training and orienting newemployees; communicating effectively with team leader and assistant team leaderregarding both positive and negative activities with product, equipment, orpersonnel;
- assists with conducting root cause analysis and implementation ofcorrective actions; resolving issues and answering questions related to varioustechniques, processes, work orders, or jobs;
participating in cross trainingefforts as required.
MAINTAINS EFFICIENT WORKFLOW BY :
Performing all functions of the valve andinflate and IFC department including valving; inflating, cleaning; ensuringFIFO (first in / first out) on materials;
assembling and installing IFC’s.Inspecting product for defects that may cause failures in assembly or finalinspection; reporting issues immediately to prevent problems from growing outof control.
MAINTAINS QUALITY SERVICE BY :
Keeping error rates minimal and withinacceptable ranges; relaying quality information to IFC and valve & inflateteams; maintaining an efficient work pace;
meeting and exceeding allperformance measurements : quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness ofwork performed

Your Background
- HS dimploma or equivalent required
- Must be skill checked onall positions within the assigned department
- Hand and tool dexterity
