Job Purpose:
The Rural Healthcare Clinic Director is responsible for overseeing daily operations, clinical quality, and strategic growth of the Andrews Family Medicine rural health clinic. This role ensures the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care while managing staff, budgets, compliance, and community outreach. The Director plays a key leadership role in improving healthcare access and outcomes in underserved rural populations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
· Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the clinic.
· Recruit, train, develop, and supervise nursing and administrative staff.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Clinic Oversight:
· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical best practices.
· Monitor patient care quality, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
· Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to optimize care delivery and patient flow.
Financial & Operational Management:
· Develop and manage budgets; monitor financial performance and implement cost‑control measures.
· Oversee scheduling, workflow efficiency, and resource allocation.
· Prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
· Identify and monitor clinic goals that support the organization’s strategic plan.
Community Engagement:
· Build partnerships with local organizations to promote health education and outreach.
· Advocate for rural health initiatives and funding opportunities.
Compliance & Risk Management:
· Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure protection of patient confidentiality.
· Implement risk‑management strategies and emergency preparedness plans.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or healthcare‑related field required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of clinic management experience required.
Experience in rural healthcare clinic settings strongly preferred.
Skills:
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team.
· Knowledge of rural health challenges, population health, and resource management.
