JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Working Foreman is responsible for ensuring Aggregate crushing operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Functional Responsibilities
Ø Exhibit a strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work in a team setting and independently.
Ø Adhere to Permian Basin Materials Code of Conduct and company policies.
Ø Oversee aggregate production, testing of aggregate materials, and safety and productivity of operation personnel.
Ø Effectively operate all types of aggregate equipment including loaders, backhoes, blades, scrapers, and dozers according to manufacturer guidelines as needed.
Ø Oversee timely and accurate month end reporting and inventory count.
Ø Ensure product availability is tested and adequate to meet customer demand.
Ø Report customer complaints and concerns to the Operations Manager.
Ø Properly follow company, OSHA, and MSHA safety procedures and promote the company safety program.
Ø Monitor job performance and productivity, OSHA and MSHA training, and accident investigations.
Ø Oversee the completion of all maintenance needed for the safe and efficient operation of assigned plant and ensure that maintenance is performed on plant vehicles and equipment.
Ø Wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary to include hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, boots, harnesses, and other clothing as required.
Ø Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies and procedures and support the company spill response plan.
Ø Perform other duties as directed.

Experience/Training/Certifications

Ø 7 – 15 years of Aggregate Crushing experience in a Supervisory role is required
Ø Foreman I –7 years Aggregate Crushing Supervisor experience, Plant Volume up to 200k Tons
Ø Foremen II –10 years Aggregate Crushing Supervisor experience, Plant Volume 200-500k Tons
Ø Foreman III –15 years Aggregate Crushing Supervisor experience, Plant Volume 500k Tons
Ø Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred
Ø Microsoft Office Applications Experience Required.
Ø A valid driver’s license with no major violations that would exclude a person from driving for business as defined by our insurance carrier and company policy.

- Sit or stand for extended periods of time,
- Use hands, fingers, and feet to operate and/or service heavy construction machinery and concrete mixers and haul trucks,
- Travel safely while walking and while operating heavy machinery and/or trucks over uneven terrain, roads, and pavement,
- See, hear, and respond to verbal, visual, and written instructions and to moving heavy construction machinery,
- Wear proper protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility clothing, steel-toed boots, and gloves,
- Observe all company Safety policies on company premises and while operating heavy construction machinery,
- Continually work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions,
- Work safely in wet, muddy, and slippery conditions occasionally,
