Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is the clinician-led medical group that provides care exclusively for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state. With over 1,300 clinicians across more than 30 specialties, WPMG is one of the largest and most respected multi-specialty group practices in the Pacific Northwest.
Summary
Kaiser Permanente - Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking temporary full-time (1.0) Hospitalists to join our team Tacoma based at St. Joseph Medical Center team in Tacoma, Washington.
Kaiser Permanente is contracted with St. Joseph Medical Center, a 366-bed General Hospital that serves the surrounding communities of Pierce and South King County areas. When admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Members are cared for by a team of Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) Hospitalists who manage the member's care during their hospital stay. The Hospitalists also work alongside Kaiser Care Management Nurses for care plans to discharge. While at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente members have access to Kaiser Permanente Cardiology, General Medical and Surgical, OB/GYN, Oncology, Orthopedic, Urologist and Ears, Nose and Throat specialist.
Core components of this position include:
- Community Hospital Admitting/Rounding & Inpatient management
- Coordinate multidisciplinary Inpatient care
- Work collaboratively with specialist , nursing and case management
- Consultations in urgent care and ED if needed to amplify efficiencies
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $324,583 to $381,863 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience)

Qualifications
- Required: BE or BC IM/FM Hospitalist
- Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA
- Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License
