Labor & Employment Associate Attorney (3–6 Years)
Location: St. Louis, MO (Preferred) or Kansas City, MO
Compensation: $175,000 - $225,000
Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking a talented Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join its growing practice in either St. Louis or Kansas City. Responsibilities
- Advise and represent public and private employers on a broad range of employment and labor matters.
- Counsel clients on employment policies, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and employee relations.
- Draft and review employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and restrictive covenant agreements.
- Handle administrative agency matters and employment litigation, including discrimination, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant disputes.
- Manage matters from inception through resolution while working closely with partners and clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups and contribute to business development initiatives.
Required Experience
- 3-6 years of Labor & Employment experience (targeting 2020-2023 JDs).
- Experience representing employers in employment counseling, litigation, or both.
- Experience handling workplace investigations and administrative agency proceedings.
- Exposure to traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, union organizing, NLRB proceedings, and labor disputes, is a plus.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- Licensed to practice law in Missouri and in good standing.
- Excellent analytical, writing, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters while working collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits
