Permanent Placements is working with a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its San Diego office. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to do meaningful litigation work without the typical Big Law burnout.

What you’ll do
• Handle management-side labor and employment matters
• Draft and respond to discovery
• Draft motions in state and federal court
• Prepare cases for hearings, trial, and arbitration
• Support matters before agencies and courts
• Work across wage and hour, ADA, FMLA, and related laws
What they’re looking for
• 3 years of labor and employment experience
• Strong litigation background
• Ability to manage matters with limited oversight
• Strong academics
• Counseling experience is a plus
Schedule
Hybrid model with flexibility based on team and attorney needs
Preferred in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday
New hires are expected to be onsite during the initial onboarding period, with increased flexibility thereafter
Compensation
$175,000 to $280,000
