Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain software on HP NonStop (Tandem) systems using TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, or C .
- Database and Tools: Utilize Enscribe, SQL/MP, SQL/MX, TACL, and Pathway for transaction processing.
- Support & Maintenance: Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Tandem applications, ensuring low-latency performance.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers and quality assurance, to deliver projects.
- Testing & Documentation: Create unit tests, support system integration tests, and document technical.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 10 years of experience in IT, specifically with Tandem/HP NonStop systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in TAL, COBOL, or C/C , coupled with knowledge of Base24, Connex, or similar switching products.
- Database Management: Expert-level knowledge of Tandem databases (Enscribe, SQL/MP).
- Platforms: Experience with Guardian and/or OSS environments.
- Domain Knowledge: Previous work experience in banking, card payments, or high-volume transaction processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modernization tools (Git, CI/CD).
- Familiarity with Control-M or modern payment simulators.
