Staff Accountant

This position provides support for the financial accounting department as well as the treasury department. The position is responsible for handling the day to day accounting, treasury, and month end close activities of company and its subsidiaries regarding payroll and various other accounting/treasury duties. Job requires knowledge of accounting concepts and practices.

Duties

· Perform a wide range of accounting functions in all assigned areas of responsibility, including account balancing and 

reconciliations, preparation of regular and special accounting reports, and cash management tasks.

· Prepare and input journal entries and maintain controls related to general ledger transactions. 

· Maintain and distribute to management weekly dashboard reports.

· Perform daily and monthly treasury functions; including daily bank balancing, reconciling receipts, and reporting (i.e. 

borrowing base report).

· Support month end close and perform variance analyses.

· Assist management with preparation of various monthly, quarterly and year end consolidated  schedules.

· Furnish internal and external reports for presentation to auditors, bank relations, and senior management.

· Assist in preparation of facility budget schedules and reports as well as loading the annual budgets into the 

accounting system.

· Assist management with quarterly audits, special projects, and any miscellaneous accounting functions within the 

department.

· Assist in preparation of tax schedules for tax compliance and tax provision.

· Assist management with roll out of new processes and procedures as requested.

· Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Must maintain a level of flexibility, as various projects will arise.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Proven ability to work both independently and interactively with different levels of employees and managers.

· Must have the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule in addition to prioritizing tasks and completing all work 

assignments accurately and efficiently, within specified deadlines.

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.

Working Conditions

Manual dexterity required for general work activities. Position requires sitting for majority of work day.
