The Field Sales Representative is responsible for the development and growth of Midwest Perma-Column sales within an established territory. This position will develop new customers while maintaining and growing existing customer base by selling the Perma-Column portfolio of products.
The assigned sales territory will cover areas of Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for the overall sales of Midwest Perma-Column products in assigned territory. Meet and exceed sales goals as defined.
- Assist in the development and execution of operational sales and training plans that support long-term success and growth within assigned territory with lumberyards, builders, and building packagers
- Key to success is the development of new customers, and managing the growth of existing customers
- Involved with the General Manager to develop and manage the annual sales territory budget target, driving sales and profitability through the weekly/quarterly/annual monitoring of territory performance, customer satisfaction and related marketing and sales promotions.
- Represents the company at key industry events, trade shows and functions, including farm shows, customer sales meetings, contractor events and others as needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing publications, personal networks and industry organization participation.
- Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, product, new products/merchandising practices
- Travel required for sales representative and customer support along with attending industry events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of experience in sales & marketing management or a combination of education and experience
- Understanding of the Building Products industry and the dynamics of effective selling through the Lumberyard channel
- Experience sales territory management and forecasting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
- Experience in using a CRM system
- Ability to promote teamwork and demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
