Job Summary

The Production & Facility Technician is responsible to ensure that the production equipment and facility is in a fully functional state and maintained on a regular base. The technician coordinates preventive maintenance and repairs with the production department supervisor as well as external service providers according to the approved supplier list. The Maintenance & Facility Technician is responsible for the adherence to our ISO 9001 SOP's for equipment and facility maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling or execution of required maintenance tasks to keep all equipment and services operating efficiently and reliably
  • Responsible for repairs required to equipment and facility, with the support of global engineering and maintenance team where required
  • Maintain and expand spare parts inventory for all equipment to minimize interruptions in production
  • Maintain inventory and maintenance of knifes and counter knifes as well as supporting the exchange where needed
  • Responsible for all facility maintenance and inspection tasks in compliance with local laws
  • Support, plan and execute local projects for equipment and plant upgrades in coordination with the globally responsible departments where applicable
  • Document all executed maintenance (internal and external) as required by ISO 9001

Education and Experience:

  • Completed training as electrician or AS/BS in electrical engineering (or equivalent on the job experience/training) with significant mechanical skills
  • Several years in technical service, preferably in the equipment industry
  • Ability to complete aforementioned tasks correctly, fully, independently and on time
  • Carpentry skills are a plus

  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color identification/differentiation and the ability to adjust focus.
