From our humble beginnings as a mobile coffee truck on the streets of San Diego in 2013, Perky Beans Coffee has grown up and laid down roots in Leander, Texas. We are family-owned and operated, and since 2021, we've offered two concepts under one roof. Perky Beans Coffee is our complete coffeehouse with a drive-thru, offering a variety of delicious beverages as well as quick bites. Located right next door is PB Cafe, where our customers can sit down and order all the breakfast classics as well as items from our tasty lunch menu.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD LINE COOK

As a Lead Line Cook, you provide essential support for our restaurant while offering guidance to other members of our kitchen staff. Your passion for the culinary arts plus your experience in the food service industry makes you the perfect person for this fast-paced restaurant job! You carefully craft meals according to our special recipes, plating and garnishing dishes while performing portion control to minimize waste. You take pride in ensuring that food is prepared quickly while meeting our high standards of quality.

Other members of our kitchen staff look up to you, valuing your expertise. Your excellent communication and leadership skills serve you well as you train new team members and supervise their work. You lead by example as you stringently follow all food safety procedures and ensure cooking stations are stocked. Organized and attentive to detail, you also assist with ordering and receiving product shipments, and you rotate food items to ensure freshness. You enjoy using your culinary skills to create fantastic meals and specials for our guests, and you love being a valued member of our tight-knit kitchen crew!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEAD LINE COOK

• High school diploma OR equivalent
• Experience cooking from scratch in a fast-paced, casual dining restaurant
• 6 months of kitchen leadership experience in a professional setting
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing throughout the shift and lifting up to 35 pounds
• Open availability seven days a week
