The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a highly skilled, organized and professional Confidential Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources and Curriculum and Instruction Departments. This position is available on or around July 13, 2026.
This position provides high-level administrative support in the areas of curriculum and instruction, professional development, employee records, certification, compliance, staffing, and departmental operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of both departments while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism. This position regularly accesses, prepares, maintains, and processes highly sensitive and confidential information related to personnel matters, employee records, staffing, evaluations, certifications, compensation, disciplinary matters, grievance matters, collective bargaining, and District operations. The position works closely with District administrators and requires a high degree of discretion, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential administrative support to the Executive Director of Human Resources and the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction.
- Assists administrators regularly with preparing and maintaining confidential information related to personnel, staffing, employee relations, and collective bargaining.
- Coordinate and maintain confidential personnel records, certification records, compliance documentation, and evaluation files.
- Prepare Board letters, employment documents, contracts, reports, correspondence, and departmental communications.
- Support professional development activities, including scheduling, setup, tracking, and recordkeeping within District systems.
- Assist with employee certification tracking, PDE applications, tenure monitoring, and mandated compliance requirements.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, appointments, and departmental schedules.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, budget tracking, and departmental supply orders.
- Maintain and update information within District systems and related databases.
- Support curriculum and instructional initiatives, including state assessment coordination, Gifted and ELD compliance, field trips, summer programs, and curriculum materials management.
- Serve as a liaison between administrators, staff, outside agencies, and the public while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with administrators, teachers, support staff, and community members.
- Experience in a school district, educational setting, or human resources environment preferred.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania Department of Education systems and compliance processes preferred.
Education, Training, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferable in an educational, government, or executive office setting.
- Experience with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) systems, employee records, or school district operations preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, database systems, and office technology required.
