What you can expect as our Social Media Video & Content Producer

We’re looking for a rising star in social media video production—someone who lives and breathes Reels, TikTok, short-form storytelling, and trending content. You instinctively understand what captivates an audience, how to move quickly on trends, and how to turn everyday moments into compelling video stories.

You’ll be a partner in elevating Perkins’ digital presence, collaborating with teams across campus and with our International team to build on our social media presence that expands our audience and strengthens our brand.

• You are a roving reporter and visual storyteller
• Ability to produce high impact short form videos - identifying platform trends and capturing the daily moments that make Perkins unique
• Pitch creative ideas, film and edit content while contributing to strategies that increase reach, engagement and audience connection
• Passion for Perkins mission to build a more inclusive world and bring a genuine commitment to disability inclusion
• A savvy creator - you understand the importance of representing people with disability with accuracy and respect
• Fluent in audience segmentation, accessibility best practices and modern social formats
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, film, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in social media, video production, or digital content creation.
• Experience in nonprofit, education, or disability-advocacy settings is a plus.
• Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram Reels trends, editing styles and audience behavior
• Strong writing skills for on screen text, scripts and captions
• Excellent communications skills
• Positive attitude flexibly and ability to work independently and collaboratively

The following shared salary range is what Perkins reasonably expects, in good faith, to pay for the position. The applicable range could differ based on experience and qualification.

$60,200.00-$85,025.00
