Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the cooking line, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service are maintained at all times
- Oversee meal preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
- Manage food service operations during meal periods, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of meals
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, knife skills, and food safety
- Maintain compliance with health regulations, sanitation standards, and safety protocols across all kitchen activities
Experience
- Proven experience in dietary departments or similar food service environments with a focus on culinary excellence
- Extensive background in dietary aide roles or kitchen experience within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience working in fine dining settings or restaurant environments that emphasize quality presentation and customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated proficiency in food handling, knife skills, catering logistics, and serving techniques
- Familiarity with food industry regulations related to sanitation, safety, and allergen management
- Leadership experience managing teams in high-volume kitchens or dining establishments
