Position Summary
The Baker prepares bakery products according to Perkins recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. This role helps ensure excellent food quality, food safety, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake bakery items according to company recipes and standards.
- Label, date, store, and rotate products using FIFO procedures.
- Set up and maintain bakery display cases and merchandising displays.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery equipment, prep areas, storage areas, and displays.
- Monitor food quality, portioning, and food safety standards.
- Assist with kitchen prep, dishwashing, and supporting front-of-house team members as needed.
- Communicate equipment, safety, or product concerns to management.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
Qualifications
- No experience required; training provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, reach, and work in hot and cold environments.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
