At Perk Place, we make handcrafted espresso drinks, bake delicious pastries, prepare breakfast and lunch, and create the kind of experience that keeps customers coming back.

Our team members do a little bit of everything. One minute you're pouring latte art, the next you're assembling sandwiches, helping a regular find their usual, or jumping in to help a teammate during a rush.

It's fast-paced, creative, occasionally chaotic, and a whole lot of fun.

And yes, our pink espresso machine is Queen.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're happy to train people who bring enthusiasm, initiative, strong customer service skills, and a genuine willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

You'll be cross-trained in the different parts of our café, including:

• Preparing espresso drinks, coffee, teas, smoothies, and frappés.
• Preparing and assembling breakfast, lunch, and bakery items.
• Greeting customers, taking orders, and providing excellent service.
• Operating our point-of-sale system and handling payments accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
• Restocking, preparing for upcoming shifts, and keeping operations running smoothly.
• Working alongside teammates to manage busy periods and support one another.

This is an all-around café position. We're looking for people who are excited to learn both beverage preparation and food service - not just one or the other.

Previous café, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred, but not required. We're happy to provide training for applicants who are eager to learn.

The position involves standing throughout shifts, working in a busy food-service environment, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified applicants.

Scheduling & Availability

We're hiring for multiple positions with different weekly hour requirements.

We have staffing needs across weekday and weekend shifts, including both opening/closing shifts. We're particularly interested in applicants who can work a variety of shifts or have a broad availability.

Broad availability isn't required for every position. A consistent, dependable schedule that meets our staffing needs can also be a great fit, and we're happy to discuss unconventional schedules.

We ask applicants to be upfront about their availability, preferred weekly hours, and any ongoing scheduling restrictions so we can determine whether there's a position that works for both of us.

All team members train at our Kenwood café. Positions may involve shifts at our Kenwood or St. Luke's/Aspirus location. We'll discuss location preferences and requirements during the hiring process.

We're especially interested in people looking for a position where they can continue learning, growing, and contributing to the team over time.
