Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Manager to oversee the revenue cycle operations of our MFM specialty practice. The ideal LOCAL candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, particularly in OB services, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursement, and compliance with payer regulations.
Responsibilities
Revenue Cycle Management:
· Oversee all aspects of billing, coding, and collections for MFM services.
· Monitor and manage accounts receivable, denials, and aging reports.
· Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies.
Compliance & Coding:
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations.
· Supervise coding staff and ensure proper CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for MFM visits.
· Stay current with changes in billing regulations and payer requirements.
Team Leadership:
· Manage, mentor and train billing staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability while working in a remote/in person hybrid environment
· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching as needed
· Train staff to address patient billing inquiries and resolve issues professionally
Reporting & Analysis:
· Generate and analyze financial and operational reports related to billing performance.
· Identify trends and recommend improvements to optimize revenue.
Provider Support:
· Collaborate with providers to ensure documentation supports billing and coding requirements.
Qualifications:
· Must be a local applicant who can into the office several days a week.
· Education: associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
· Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of medical billing experience, OB preferred
· Certifications: CPC, CPB, AAPC or similar certification preferred.
Skills:
· Ability to learn Greenway Intergy Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management for billing operations.
· Strong understanding of OB-specific billing codes and payer guidelines.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
